A Salisbury man has been charged with trying to burn a neighbor’s pickup truck.
Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies also served several other warrants on Edward Lee Coughenour, 41, of 1013 Lands End Drive.
Capt. John Sifford said deputies responded to a disturbance call around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Deputies charged Coughenour with two counts of burning of personal property.
He was also served with outstanding warrants for communicating threats and charges from the China Grove Police Department including failure to yield for law enforcement, fire or rescue, fleeing to elude, and driving while license revoked.
Coughenour was being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on Tuesday with bond set at $10,000.
