Kannapolis woman charged with break-in, theft

A Kannapolis woman has been charged with breaking into a home on 19th Street and stealing over $100 in goods.
Brandy Michelle Short, 30, is charged with one count of felony larceny and one count of second-degree burglary.
According to Rowan County Magistrate’s Office records, Short is accused of stealing $71 in cash, a Bible, a gold watch and a metal lunch box from the home.
Short was being held at the Rowan County Detention Center under $25,000 bond late Tuesday.
Her first appearance in Superior Court is scheduled for Thursday morning.
