Dunbar alumni collecting items
The Dunbar School Alumni Association is collecting memorabilia, such as plaques, pictures, trophies and more for display.

Brevard dean’s list
Shane Weimer of Salisbury has been named to Brevard College’s dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2008-2009 academic year.
Cannon School
CONCORD รณ Cannon School will have open house April 23 at 7 p.m. in Taylor Hall.
Visiting families can tour the campus, speak one-on-one with representatives about the school’s academic, arts and athletics offerings, including a new football program, and learn more about the admission process.
“Our open houses are a great way to see first-hand what makes Cannon School such an ideal learning environment,” said Director of Admission Bill Diskin.
Honor society
Eight Catawba College seniors, all pursuing academic majors in the Ketner School of Business, were inducted into the Business Honor Society during a March 5 ceremony held at the Cloninger Guest House on campus.
Membership in this scholastic honor society is open to all senior majors in the fields of accounting, economics, information systems, management and marketing who have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2. The Business Honor Society seeks to develop character and understanding, stimulate scholarship and service in the community.
Inductees include Rebecca Leigh Chinnis of Charlotte; Ryan Adam Taccarino of Marmora, N.J.; Robin L. Misenheimer of Granite Quarry; Derek Wade Freeze of China Grove; Shahin Soltan Mohammadi of Gothenburg, Sweden; Cassondra Lea Markham of New Port Richey, Fla.; Jordan-Leigh Davis of Salisbury; and Kirby Matthew Freeland of Charlotte.
