YourSports: Salisbury Academy soccer wins title

Salisbury Academy’s co-ed soccer team won its first-ever Central Carolina Independent School Athletic Association tournament title.
SA (14-1) defeated Burlington Christian 6-1 in the semifinals and won 3-1 against Hickory Christian in the title game.
Lucas Capito was named tournament MVP, a first for the school. Jon Mark Petty, Ian Lins and Philip Simons made the all-tournament team.

Salisbury Academy’s volleyball team competed in its first-ever CCISAA tournament and finished fifth after a three-set win over Burlington Christian.
Alexandra Drye, Emily Capito, Ann Rollins Johnson and Olivia Smith played well for the Jaguars.

Salisbury Academy’s girls tennis team finished a 9-0 season with a shutout of Trinity Episcopal. Madeline Hoskins, Anna Flynn, Alexandra Drye, Mackenzie Beaver, Ann Rollins Johnson, Olivia Smith, Drew Pethel, Emily Capito and Grace Steinman won for the Jaguars.
SA won 79 of 81 matches and went unbeaten for the third time.
