DENVER ó Andre Ethier hit two of Los Angeles’ three home runs, powering the Dodgers past Colorado 6-1 on Wednesday night, restoring their lead over the Rockies in the NL West to three games.
Ethier hit his 26th and 27th homers off spot starter Josh Fogg (0-2), who allowed six runs, all on the long ball.
Phillies 4, Pirates 1, 10 inningsPITTSBURGH ó Ryan Howard hit a three-run home run in the 10th inning after Philadelphia’s bullpen blew yet another lead.
Chase Utley also homered for the Phillies.

ST. LOUIS ó Joel Pineiro worked eight strong innings to win his seventh straight decision and St. Louis jumped on Roy Oswalt early.
Marlins 5, Mets 3
MIAMI ó Josh Johnson gave up three runs and nine hits in six innings but that kept him undefeated against New York.
Reds 4, Brewers 3, 10 innings
MILWAUKEE ó Pinch-hitter Darnell McDonald hit a double to drive in the winning run in the 10th inning.
Giants 4, Diamondbacks 3SAN FRANCISCO ó Pinch-hitter Bengie Molina hit a three-run home run in the eighth.
Padres 12, Braves 5
ATLANTA ó San Diego had a six-run sixth inning, and Kevin Kouzmanoff finished off Atlanta with a two-run homer.
The last-place Padres won their second straight over the Braves and will go for a sweep today.
Atlanta’s Brian McCann hit a three-run homer off Tim Stauffer (2-6) in the first inning.
Cubs 9, Nationals 4
CHICAGO ó Milton Bradley homered and had three RBIS and Chicago scored six runs in the eighth inning. Rich Harden pitched six strong innings for Chicago.
