RCCC offering two courses in project management

The Office of Corporate & Professional Development at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College will offer two project management courses in August and September.
RCCC will offer the “Fundamentals of Project Management” course from 5-9 p.m. Wednesdays, Aug. 5 through Oct. 7, at RCCC’s Cabarrus Business & Technology Center.
The course fee is $745, plus a $70 textbook.
The 40-hour fundamentals course is designed to introduce students to the project management profession through a step-by-step, detailed approach.
Students will learn how to use project management tools and techniques effectively and manage projects successfully. The course also will prepare students to sit for the Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) exam administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
RCCC will offer the “Project Management Professionals Examination Prep” course 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturdays, Sept. 19 through Oct. 3 and Oct. 17, at RCCC’s South Campus.
The course fee is $900, plus a $75 textbook.
The 40-hour PMP exam prep course is for project managers who are seeking PMP certification through the PMI and have satisfied requirements to sit for the exam.
Project managers who take the course will learn exam techniques, a review of areas in the project management body of knowledge and requirements to take the exam.
