STATESBORO, Ga. ó Donald Sims scored a career-high 29 points and Isaac Butts had career-highs of 17 points and 19 rebounds as Appalachian State defeated Georgia Southern 95-82 on Monday night.
ASU (9-11, 6-6 SoCon) led 44-33 at halftime, then shot 68 percent (17 of 25) in the second half. Kellen Brand added 18 points, and Jeremi Booth had 14.
The Eagles (7-13, 5-7) cut the margin to 56-53 with 13:13 left. Appalachian then used an 8-2 run to pull away.

PITTSBURGH ó Sam Young scored 23 points and DeJuan Blair had 18 for Pittsburgh (20-2).

GREEN BAY, Wis. ó Ryan Tillema scored 18 of his 21 points in the second half for Wisconsin-Green Bay (18-6, 10-2 Horizon). It made 32 of 35 foul shots.
Gordon Hayward had 22 points for Butler (19-2, 10-1).

WACO, Texas ó Sherron Collins, who has led Kansas (18-4, 7-0 Big 12) in scoring in all but five games this season, had a team-high 17 points.

LEXINGTON, Va. ó Sean Smith had 22 points and 11 rebounds, and John Williams added 21 points and 15 boards to lead the Bulldogs (10-13, 6-6).
Reid Augst posted 23 points and Matt Dickey scored 22 for UNCA. VMI (17-4, 8-2) was outscored 17-9 in overtime.
Travis Holmes scored a career-high 37 points for the Keydets. He hit a jumper with 10 seconds left to force OT.

CHARLESTON, S.C. ó Nick Barbour scored five of his 22 points in the final 3:31 as High Point (6-16, 2-10) used a 10-0 run to close out a the win.
It snapped a seven-game skid. Charleston Southern (7-14, 2-8) dropped its fifth straight league home game.
