CHAPEL HILL ó North Carolina coach Roy Williams says he has met with Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington about a possible leap to the NBA.
In an interview on the school’s Web site posted Thursday, Williams said he has completed paperwork so the NBA’s undergraduate advisory committee can examine the trio’s draft prospects. He also plans to contact five NBA teams before meeting again with the players.
Williams also explained his decision to wear a Kansas sticker while attending Monday’s national championship game. Williams says he wanted to support the program he led for 15 years.
