Joe Helmintoller
CONCORD ó Larry Joe Helmintoller, 64, 135 Overbrook Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at his home.
Born Jan. 7, 1944, in McDowell County, W.Va., Mr. Helmintoller was a son of Frieda Vandel Helmintoller, Concord, and the late Hobert Helmintoller.
A graduate of Concord High School, he served in the U.S. Marines, was a retired mail carrier and member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include wife Dean Williams Helmintoller; daughters Angie H. Huntley and Kerri H. Penley, both of Concord; brother Jack Helmintoller, Atlanta, Ga.; and three grandsons.
A service was held Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at Wilkinson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Leon Hawks. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery, with military rites by DAV Chapter 27.
