Clarence Johnson
CHINA GROVE ó Clarence Junior Johnson, 75, formerly of Dillon Street, died Friday (May 11, 2007) at the home of a daughter.
Born April 3, 1932, in Shelby, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Horace and Minnie Davis Johnson.
Educated in the Cleveland County schools, he was a Baptist and owner-operator of Johnson Wrecker Service.
His wife, Ollie Jane Burris Johnson, died in 1993, and son Roger Dale Johnson died in 1992.
Survivors include son Ronnie Johnson, China Grove; daughters Lori Hoover, Kannapolis, and Debbie Campbell, China Grove; brothers John Henry Johnson, China Grove, and Eugene Johnson, Kannapolis; sisters Carolyn Brindle, Kannapolis, and Alice McGrady, China Grove; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A service was held Monday (May 14, 2007) at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Steve Sprinkle, pastor, China Grove Church of God. Burial, West Lawn Memorial Park.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home was in charge.
