Yvonne Barger and Sharon Miller are still champions of the Edgar Welch Memorial Golf Tournament.
Barger and Miller won the tournament for the second straight year at the Country Club of Salisbury on Thursday.
The champions posted a net 57 to with an opening 59 on Tuesday at Corbin Hills Club for a low net total of 116 for the 36-hole tourney.
They edged Beth Calhoun and Beverly Cobb for title by one stroke.
Calhoun and Cobb had a 55-62117.
Avice Bost and Blanche Glover captured third place with 57-61118.
Joan Harris and Opal Ingram won fourth place in a scorecard playoff with Susan Morris-Becky Isenhour and Phyllis Myers-Eileen Full with a 122 net score.
Barger and Miller are the first team to win back-to-back titles since Shirley Baucom and Eloise Teeter won two in a row in 2003-04.
Wanda Sanders and Jean Hill won low gross honors with a 151 total for 36 holes. Patti Glassgow and Jane Fesperman were a stroke back with 152.
Awards were presented to the top winners at a luncheon following the tourney.
The tourney is played annually in honor of the late Edgar Welch, a local pro and sporting good store operator.
