'Joe' Allison Plott

Joseph “Joe” Allison Plott, 66, 7883 Howard Ave., died Jan. 29, 2007, at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord, following two months of illness.

Born Dec. 29, 1940, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Plott was a son of the late Thomas W. and Grace Rabon Plott.

He retired after more than 50 years in the Wash Cloth Department at Fieldcrest Cannon Plant 1.

He was a member of Enochville Church of God for more than 40 years, singing in the choir and was a member of the Plott quartet.

Son J. Alan Plott and a granddaughter preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Audrey Christy Plott; sons David Plott, Lexington, Scott and Mike Plott, both of Kannapolis; brothers Jimmy and Eddie Plott, both of Kannapolis; sisters Margaret James, Reba Christy, Jeanette Martin and Nancy Christy, all of Kannapolis; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A service was held Friday at Enochville Church of God, conducted by the Rev. David Shoemake, the Rev. Jeff Upright and the Rev. Keith Allen. Burial, West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.

Whitley’s Funeral Home was charge.
