Mary Walton Beaver, 93, Kannapolis, died Saturday (Jan. 27, 2007) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury.

Born Oct. 15, 1913, Mrs. Beaver was a daughter of the late Mary Ida Grubb and George Walton.

A graduate of Spencer High School, she retired from the Cannon Mills Sewing Room and was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church.

Her husband of 61 years, Floyd Hubert Beaver, preceded her in death.

Survivors include son Donald Beaver, Kannapolis; sister Irma Lee Wilhelm, Spencer; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A service was held Monday (Jan. 29, 2007) at Lyerly Funeral Home, Salisbury, conducted by the Rev. Doug Kearney. Burial, Rowan Memorial Park, Salisbury.
