Ilean B. Lambert

Ilean Brown Lambert, 82, formerly of 702 Evelyn Ave., died Saturday (Jan. 20, 2007) at Big Elm Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Born March 9, 1924, in Royston, Ga., Mrs. Lambert was a daughter of the late Johnny and Lettie Mae Anderson Brown.

She lived most of her life in this area and retired in 1988 after 42 years as a weaver with Cannon Mills.

Her husband, Blume P. Lambert, died in 2003.

Survivors include son Gary L. Lambert, Concord; daughter Janice Lambert Graham, Kannapolis; brothers Prangle Brown, Rockwell, and Bobby Brown, Kannapolis; sister Mary Wilkes, Kannapolis; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A service was held Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2007) at Whitley’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James Pauley. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
