Ervin M. Hukill

MINERALS WELLS, W.Va. – Rev. Ervin M. Hukill, 73, of Mineral Wells, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at the Veteran’s Hospital in Clarksburg, W.Va.

Born Feb. 11, 1933, in Weatherford, Tex., Rev. Hukill was a son of the late Jim and Edna Brummett Hukill. He was a pastor for 49 years, committing his life as a builder of people, builder of churches and a builder of the Kingdom of Heaven.

He was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, great father and loving grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Pastor Wanda Hukill; children Penny E. Harrison of Dolphin, Va., the Rev. Jim Hukill and wife Rhonette and Woody Hukill and wife Cindy, all of Winter Garden, Fla.; grandchildren Selina Kelly, Sharlina Mitchell, Bryant Harrison, Daniel Hukill and Miquelina Hukill; great-granddaughter Hannah Mitchell; sister Jimmie Cockrell of Lindale, Tex.; and brothers Wayne Hukill of White House, Tex, and Johnny and Joe Hukill, both of Tyler, Tex.

He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Services: 3 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God, Parkersburg, W.Va., with the Rev. Marvin Dennis, Dr. Howard Ryan and Pastor Ted Burke officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Westlawn Memorial Park in China Grove, N.C.

Visitation: Monday from 1-3 p.m. at the church and Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. at the cemetery mausoleum chapel.
