Peggy Honeycutt

Peggy Evelyn Roberts Honeycutt, 71, 908 Skyland St., died Thursday (Dec. 21, 2006) at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord, after two years of illness.

Born Jan. 24, 1935, in Bristol, Tenn., Mrs. Honeycutt was a daughter of the late Marvin Roberts and Myrtle Wiles.

Educated in the Bristol, Tenn., schools, she worked for Pillowtex Corp. for 18 years, retiring in 1996, and was a member of Kannapolis Church of God.

Survivors include husband Adam M. Honeycutt Jr.; sons Marvin W. Whitaker and Adam M. Honeycutt III, both of Kannapolis; daughters Donna Gardner, Tammy Mayers, Susan Price and Sharon and Angela Honeycutt, all of Kannapolis, and Theresa Goodman, Salisbury; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A service was held Saturday (Dec. 23, 2006) at Kannapolis Church of God, conducted by the Rev. Sam Crisp. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park.
