Deputies investigating suspicious death

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the 100 block of Pineview Circle.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to this location after getting a call from family members of the resident, requesting that we check on the welfare of the resident. Family members had been trying to get the resident at Pineview Circle by telephone, but could not get any answer after repeated calls.


Currently, investigators are on the scene at this location making necessary reports and collecting evidence. The body of the deceased male will be transported to the N.C. Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Further information will be released as it becomes available. The deceased has not been identified pending the confirmed notification to all family members.
