Chamber offering trip to China this fall

SALISBURY — The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Explorations will offer a trip to China this fall.
Planned for Nov. 5 to 13, the trip will feature beautifully preserved ancient sites, stunning natural scenery, cosmopolitan cities and a fascinating culture, chamber President Elaine Spalding said.
The chamber will hold an informational briefing at 5:30 p.m. April 3 at the Gateway Building, 204 E. Innes St. Representatives from Chamber Explorations will provide detailed information on the tour for interested participants.
Frank Goodnight of Diversified Graphics is the chairman of the International Trip program.
“Chambers of commerce across the country have been offering international trips for a number of years,” Spalding said. “We want to bring this wonderful travel package to anyone interested in seeing China with a safe and affordable group.”
Chamber Explorations is a leader in the organized group travel industry and will handle details of the trip. Participants will enjoy sightseeing, traditional meals, deluxe transportation and professional guides as they travel through this extraordinary destination, Spalding said.
Chamber Exploration’s China program is fully inclusive and features Beijing, Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, the Sacred Way of Ming Tomb, a Pearl workshop, Hangzhou, a West Lake Cruise, a traditional Tea plantation, the Lingyin Temple, Shanghai, the Bund and the Garden of the Mandarin Yu.
Traditional Chinese artistries will included jade, cloisonné and silk. An optional experience to Xian to visit the Terracotta Warriors will also be available.
The all-inclusive trip costs $2,699 for chamber members or $2,999 for non-members.
