Delta Xi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. had five members honored at the sorority’s 60th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference’s Jewels Luncheon held recently in Winston Salem.

The Jewels Luncheon honored members in the region for their 25 (silver), 50 (golden), and 75 (diamond) years of membership and service. Carolyn Holt, Earnestine Krider, Linda McCullough, Faleese Moore-Jenkins and Yolanda Woods were honored for their twenty-five years of service to the sorority.


The theme for this year’s conference was “Sixty, Sophisticated, Savvy, Smart: A Jubilee Celebration of Timeless Service.”

The president of the local chapter is Renese Bates, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director is Linda H. Gilliam and the national president is Carolyn House Stewart.
