North Rowan basketball player Oshon West is this week’s Athlete of the Week.

West scored 36 points in two Cavalier victories last week. He scored 25 in a 101-32 win over South Davidson and 11 more in a 67-42 win over Chatham Central. West helped North remain undefeated in the Yadkin Valley Conference at 6-0 while improving to 10-3 overall.


In the second quarter of the South Davidson win, West hit a milestone when he went in for a layup that put him over the 1,000-point mark for his career.
