To give you plenty of time to get your milk and bread, here’s a hint about Monday: Both Rowan County Weather and the National Weather Service are predicting a 70 percent chance of snow.

While you’re worrying about that, today will be another cold one, although the sun will be shining. The high will be just 39, with west winds picking up to 5-7 mph this morning. It’s not quite as cold as Wednesday — 19 degrees at 7:30, compared to 17 yesterday.

Friday brings a very slight chance of snow before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy skies will result in a high of 38. The low will be 23.

Saturday is going to be very cold, with sunny skies but a high of only 34. Northwest wind will blow at 7-13 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph. Hold on to your hats. The low will be the coldest we’ve seen in quite a while, 11.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, but even colder, with a high of 31. The low will be 20.

And then there’s that snow thing for President’s Day. It will be cloudy, with a high of 34 and a 70 percent chance of snow in the afternoon. Snow is likely Monday night, too, with a low of 32.

Tuesday has a chance of rain and snow, but Rowan County Weather says it will be mostly a cold rain, with partly sunny skies and a high of 47. The low will be 30.

Then we have a big change for Wednesday — it will be mostly sunny and 53.
