A Salisbury woman with a history of making harassing and threatening phone calls has been accused of doing it again, authorities say.

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office served arrest warrants on Rebecca Bailey Dye, 63, of the 1200 block of Stanley Street, charging her with misdemeanor cyberstalking and misdemeanor harassing telephone calls.

The charges stem from an October incident in Wake County where authorities say Dye made threatening and harassing phone calls and sent emails to Sara Gibbs with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.

In September 2012, Dye was convicted of harassing language or threatening phone calls, both misdemeanors. The incidents occurred July 14 and July 15. She was given probation following time in the Guilford County jail.

In October 2005, Dye was convicted of harassing language or threatening phone calls. The incidents occurred April 8, 2005 and June 20, 2004. She was given probation after serving some time in the Guilford County jail. She was convicted in 1998 of a non-specified misdemeanor offense.

Dye remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. She’s also been charged with a probation violation.
