MOORESVILLE (AP) — Authorities say they have arrested a man who killed a Mooresville woman in her apartment.
Police said 26-year-old Ignacio Vazquez was taken into custody around 6 p.m. Wednesday, about six hours after a 29-year-old woman was found dead.
Investigators released few details about the woman’s death, but neighbors said her door was kicked in. They say the victim and the suspect knew each other. The name of the woman has not been released.
Vazquez is charged with first-degree murder.
