2 die in Gastonia house fire

GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) Two people have been killed in a house fire in Gastonia.

Firefighters were called to the home early Monday. Gastonia police said the victims were 78-year-old Ernest Adams and 57-year-old Angela Smith Wilson.

Emergency officials say there were no other injuries in the white vinyl and brick house.

Neighbor Randy Jenkins says he was unable to get into the house because of the flames.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
