Blotter: Salisbury Police report rash of GPS thefts

GPS systems have been stolen from at least four vehicles in the city recently, according to Salisbury Police reports.
James T. Hardin, 19, reported that someone broke into his car while it was parked at Pancho Villas overnight. The driver’s window was broken and a Garmin GPS unit valued at $300 was taken.
Christopher Todd Flanagan, 44, reported a break in to his vehicle at 207 Faith Road on May 12. Someone threw a concrete block through the window and took a Magellan GPS unit.
Timothy Ryan Schenk, 25, reported his $500 GPS unit was taken from his car on Grove Street May 14.
Kari Alice Cornelison, 21, reported her GPS and radar detector were stolen May 14 when her vehicle was broken into in the 100 block of East Innes Street.

– Darryl Sylvester Price, 19, was a victim of an accidental shooting at 715 Hall St. the night of May 14. As police investigated, Justin Decarlos Ford, 20, was charged with resist and delay at the scene and placed in jail under $1,500 bond. Ford’s court date is July 22.
– Gerrell Laquan Mcrae went to Lexington Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound and said he was accidentally shot in the leg in the 500 block of East Innes Street the evening of May 13.
– Edward Troy Kinney, 47, a repossession agent, reported he was assaulted on South Ellis Street early the morning of May 13.
– David Garduno Jr. was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop near U.S. 29 and U.S. 152. The stop was made pursuant to a mutual aid agreement between Salisbury and China Grove Police Departments.
– Douglas Michael Hill ,27, reported a burglary at 104 Wildwood Drive.
– Alonso Almazan Armellano, 21, of 123 E. Fisher St., reported his wallet stolen after someone broke into his vehicle.
– Robert Theodore Gibson, 55, reported that his bicycle was stolen at 500 E. Innes St.
– Hugo Correa, 31, of 712 W. Council St., reported a burglary at his residence. A television, jewelry, and assorted property were stolen.
– Rowan Family Physicians reported that someone broke into the building by throwing a cinder block through a window.
– Charlene Jordan Hall, 45, reported being the victim of fraud and confidence games.
– Alice Mitchell Cox reported being the victim of fraud and impersonation from Nov. 7, 2008, through Jan. 8, 2009.
– Karen Peek Ennis, 46, was the victim of identity theft on May 11.
– Thaniel Davis, 34, reported theft of engine parts from his Jeep while parked at 200 Castlewood Drive. on May 11.
– Doris Pope Kluttz, 64, was the victim of usury. Her son, Evan Kluttz, reported forgery of three personal checks totalling $975 on his mother’s account.
– Stephen Gerard Brown, 25, reported that someone broke into his apartment on Claymont Drive and stole several items.
– Yulandra Elissa Weeks, 31, reported that someone entered her home at on Laurel Pointe Circle and stole a Playstation game system.
– Wade Guy Propst, 51, reported that someone stole his bicycle from 817 E. Lafayette St.
– Mary Katheryn Erwin, 52, reported that her wallet was stolen at 1015 E. Innes St.
– Theodore Blake, 46, was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace at 825 N. Lee St.
– Jarad Mario Bryant, 21, was charged with assault on a female.
– Phillip Clayton Howard , 19, was arrested on charges of simple assault at 317 Windsor Drive.
– Joyce Anne Murphey, 35, was charged with felony hit and run at 306 N. Jackson St.
– Luke Alexander Morgan was charged with purchase and possession of alcohol by anyone under 21 years at 1 Lakewood Drive.
– Demeties Tyrone Whisonant, 17, was charged with giving false fire alarms after allegedly activating a Salisbury High School fire alarm.
– Dimitruis Lamar Corpening, 25, was charged with assault on a female on Lafayette Street.
– Dmario Raynard Rhodes, 24, was charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer.
– Lawrence Eugene Medlin reported being assaulted with a knife.
– Otoniel Campos, 38, of Dollie Circle, was charged with assault on a female after an incident involving a 16-year-old. Bond was set at $1,000, and he is to appear in court on July 13.
– Aaron Dmitri Witherspoon was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child.
– Anthony Todd Bailey, 49, was charged with misdemeanor larceny.
– Reginald Terrell Leach, 19, was charged with weapons possession by a felon.
– Jason Mark Conte, 28, was charged with cruelty to animals at 227 Carolina Blvd.
– Willie Junior Phillips was charged with misdemeanor larceny.
