Communities in Schools will have a bowl-a-thon at Woodleaf Lanes tonight to raise funds for its program at North Rowan Middle School.
Kohls is a major sponsor.
The program at North Rowan Middle School has used state funding in the past that may not be available this year.
“It is very important that we try to generate some funds to still help kids that are on our caseload,” said Vicky Slusser, director of the Communities in Schools program in Rowan County,
Participants will bowl from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and about 30 door prizes will be given out during the evening as well as trophies at the end of the night.
The cost is $10 per person and this includes two games and shoes.
