RALEIGH ó A public policy group has given U.S. Rep. Howard Coble, R-6th, a grade of 100 percent for his votes on issues concerning the principles of free markets and limited government.
The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has created a voting scorecard for the 112th Congress focusing on worker issues.
Coble earned a 100 percent rating from CEI on its scorecard, according to a press release sent Thursday from his office. According to CEI, the groupís labor policy website, http://workplacechoice.org, will be the only real-time congressional voting scorecard devoted to analyzing Congressí labor record from a free-market perspective.
The score is determined based on the CEI policy determinations that support worker freedom and the elimination of organized labor privileges across the country.
On Wednesday, the Competitive Enterprise Institute held an award ceremony for members of Congress who achieved a 100 percent pro-worker score on its Congressional Labor Policy Scorecard.
