SALISBURY — After learning Fibrant will borrow millions of dollars from other city funds for operating expenses, some local businessmen call for more transparency from the city’s new broadband service.
The city defends interfund loans as a standard practice and a way to save money.
The city manager says the city needs to do a better job communicating with residents, and he has a plan to give people more information.
Fibrant competes with private industry to sell Internet, phone and cable TV services.
