A wreck at the intersection of Jake Alexander Boulevard and Industrial Avenue sent one driver to the hospital after witnesses say the driver of a tractor-trailer ran a red light.
The wreck involved a van, car and the tractor-trailer.
According to witness Amy Hess, who was taking a right onto Jake Alexander Boulevard from Industrial Avenue, the light turned green, and the driver of the van, taking a left, was in the middle of the intersection when the truck hit the van.
The van spun several times and into a sedan waiting at the light on Jake Alexander Boulevard. The female driver of the sedan was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center. Rowan EMS placed the woman in a neck brace and onto a stretcher.
The driver of the van was not injured, but said she was scared.
Another witness said the truck barreled through the intersection at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the truck has been charged. Names of those involved were not immediately available.
Hess said the driver of the truck told her the light was green and he was trying to get home.
