What will become of Civic Park?

Civic Park Apartments, a 72-unit public housing project in the West Side neighborhood, could be transformed if the city wins a grant from the federal government to bulldoze and rebuild it.
Feds awarded the Salisbury Housing Authority and the city of Salisbury $170,000 last week to study Civic Park and the surrounding neighborhood and come up with a plan to improve the community.
Initial ideas include a park, services for veterans, a day-care center and educational opportunities, as well as modern, energy-efficient duplexes.
In Wednesday’s Post, Sam Foust, executive director for the housing authority, shares his vision for the future of Civic Park, and his promise to leave no one homeless during the transition.
