From the Salisbury Post files, this picture — snapped by a photographer for Salisbury bookstore owner Theo Buerbaum — was taken from the roof of the old post office and federal courthouse building at 130 W. Innes St., which is now the county administration building. Looking northwest, the photograph features the Smoot House on the left and the First Baptist Church building, erected in 1902 and demolished in 1952. The Whitehead-Stokes Sanitarium is shown in the background.
