Greene graduates from School of the Arts

William Chase Greene graduated May 17 from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts high school program. UNCSA is a public coeducational arts conservatory located in Winston-Salem. Greene was accepted to UNCSA as an entering junior in the visual arts program while attending West Rowan High School. He is the son of Roger and Sandy Greene of Salisbury. He received the Dean’s Award scholarship, as well as other scholarship money, from Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, Fla., where he will attend in the fall to pursue an illustration degree.
He was awarded a Gold Key his senior year for his full portfolio submission from The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for teens in the U.S.
