SALISBURY — A Salisbury man did not appear to be seriously injured, authorities said, after his Ford Mustang overturned in a ditch beside South Main Street today.
A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper said the 60-year-old was complaining of back pain, but the injuries did not appear life threatening.
His name was not immediately available.
The crash happened in the 5000 block of South Main Street about 11:50 a.m. The wreck was initially called in as a traffic accident with a pin-in.
Trooper Anthony Carpenter said the white Mustang was heading north when it veered off the road and flipped onto its right side.
Crews from Rowan Rescue Squad, Locke Fire Department and Rowan EMS responded and placed the man on a stretcher. He was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
The Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate, officials said.
