Police investigators are trying to determine who spray-painted stenciled graffiti on two businesses.
A doctor with Salisbury Internal Medicine Associates, 319 Mocksville Ave., reported the vandalism to Salisbury Police on Monday morning. It had happened sometime over the weekend.
The vandal used black spray paint and a stencil to paint an image of a man’s face, a praying monkey and the words “search away” and “happiness is nowhere.”
Salisbury Police Capt. Melonie Thompson said the vandals left the stencils in a nearby trash can.
An employee with Century 21 Town & Country, 474 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., told police someone spray-painted an electrical box at the business.
The vandal used a stencil to paint a face and the words “rascal is back.”
Thompson said the two incidents may be connected.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
