Letter: Trump shouldn’t downplay Coronavirus

It’s interesting how President Donald Trump and his administration continue to downplay, deflect and minimize the impending effects of the COVID-19 virus, aka Coronavirus.

Each day, Trump is at odds with data from the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and others about the inevitable spread of the virus, its mortality rate and the overall preparedness of our government departments to deal with what appears to be a certain health emergency. He also invoked a possible “miracle” to intervene.

If Trump, himself, contracted this Coronavirus, there is no doubt, given his propensity for falsehoods, he would deny that he had it.

Considering the general divisive climate in politics and the media on all issues, one should consider: Matthew 12:25.
