Letter: ‘Shiloh Rules’ is finest work yet by Lee Street

I just saw “Shiloh Rules” at Lee Street Theatre directed by David Pulliam, and I have to say it was the finest performance I have ever seen there.

There was impressive, imaginative, “up-close” staging complete with smoke, lightning and the realistic sounds of fighting and gunfire. There was thoughtful, riveting dialogue delivered in 1862-style costumes that made for an enjoyable evening that left me sympathetic to all of the characters and mourning for all that was lost, both then and now.

Superbly cast and well-acted, “Shiloh Rules” more than delivered on the premise of a disagreement on a re-enactor’s battlefield. Well done and thank you, Lee Street and St. Thomas Players.
