SALISBURY — Salisbury Police say a local car dealership reported six vehicles were stolen from their Jake Alexander Boulevard location at the same time.

According to Police Lt Greg Beam, it appeared a group of people drove to Gerry Wood Auto Group on Wednesday in a white van.

Beam said they broke windows out of the vehicles and overrode keyless entries and were able to take off with the cars from the business’ main lot, 414 South Jake Alexander Blvd.

Thieves took two 2018 Dodge Durango sport utility vehicles, three 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokees, and one 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 pickups. One Dodge Charger was damaged.

One of the Jeep Cherokees was recovered in Charlotte, Beam said.

No arrests have been made and the police investigation continues.
