Due to the forecasted rain next week, N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance will accelerate the work on Artz Road.  They will now close the road today through about 3:30 p.m.

The closure will be on Artz Road (SR2319) in order to replace a storm drain culvert that crosses under the road.  The GPS coordinates are N 35.5726, W 80.4615.  The nearest address is 2530 Artz Road.  The road will be closed only while work is occurring.  We anticipate that the work will take two working days to complete.

The detour route will be Faith Road / Brown St reet/ Mount Hope Church Road / Artz Road.  Below is a link showing the detour route.

NC DOT Maintenance will be closing Wetmore Road beginning Feb. 12 to 15 in order to replace a couple of pipelines near the 1700 block of Wetmore Road.

The detour will utilize NC 801 and Potneck Road.
