CHINA GROVE — China Grove and Landis residents will see about 120 floats at this year’s Southern Rowan Christmas Parade today.

Patti Price, China Grove’s event coordinator, said the parade will be the biggest in several years. It will include four bands, community groups and schools.

“It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season,” Price said.

Price recommended that spectators arrive early to get a good seat and carpool. She said visitors should be patient and expect heavy traffic.

“Just remember ’tis the season and what it’s all about,” she said.

The Southern Rowan Christmas Parade will start in Landis at 3 p.m. and in China Grove at 4 p.m.

“Everyone comes together,” Price said. “It’s a really great outpouring of the community.”
