Letter: Whose intolerance?

The writer is responding to a column in Thursday’s Post, “We must call out this intolerance.”

Alan Menius has it exactly wrong. I am a Salisbury native, too, for the record. The people who volunteered to put on this parade every year had no obligation to keep anyone from getting their feelings hurt or to allow anyone to break rules. Maybe if PFLAG had a problem with that, they and Avita could have organized their own parade or tried other avenues.

Instead, they threw a tantrum and forever ruined this fun tradition for everyone in the county. So much for the “party of love.” They throw around words like “tolerance” even though they are the least tolerant.
