All American Celebration & Car Show
4:00 p.m. Sunday July 1
Bring cars, trucks, bikes, tractors to show. Hot dogs, popcorn, cold drinks and ice cream provided. A free, kid-friendly birthday party for the United States.

Weaver-Lunsford at FUMC-CG
CHINA GROVE — Matthew Weaver and Clay Lunsford will perform at First United Methodist Church, 110 W. Church St., on Sunday at the 11 a.m. service.
Matthew Weaver is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and songwriter and seven time winner of Pianist-Instrumentalist of the Year for the North Carolina Folk Festival (2011-2018), and plays 19 different instruments.
Clay Lunsford is an instrumentalist and vocalist from Union Grove. For 50 years, he has performed throughout the southeast entertaining people with his unique style of thumb picking. He is the president of the North Carolina Thumb Pickers Association.

First UCC hosts guest musician
First United Church of Christ welcomes Gretchen Tracy as guest musician on Sunday. Gretchen began piano study at age 3, eventually earning a master’s degree in performance and an artist diploma. She started cello study as an eighth grader in Charlotte public schools, and three years later was the youngest player under contract in the Charlotte Symphony. Since moving to Salisbury in 1998, Tracy has been active on the music scene, having played in the Salisbury Symphony for 10 years. And lately she has also been performing on bluegrass banjo!

Pray Rowan to meet July 7

Bi-monthly youth Bible study

Root of David Church of Deliverance
The Root of David Church of Deliverance, 1315 Short St. (off Long St.), holds worship services in the Zeta Building every Sunday at 4 p.m. with the exception of first Sundays. Presiding Apostle is Susan Yarbrough.
