Here’s one happy  Republican

There’s good news and bad news for liberals. Good news, Democrats didn’t shoot themselves in the foot last week.

Bad news, they crammed their leg into a cannon and lit the fuse. Not once, but twice. Here are both bone-headed instances.

Blunder one, Susan Rice has been exposed by ex-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes for unmasking Michael Flynn, and possibly many more U.S. citizens.

“Somebody” leaked Flynn’s name to the press after the unmasking. Felony. It’s possible Rice committed three felonies.

1: Seeking classified material under fraudulent pretenses. (U.S. Code 18 C-1001.

2: The inclusion of other parties. (Conspiracy Statute under 793 F, The Espionage Act)

3: Maybe she leaked it herself. The Democrats filed an ethics complaint against Devin Nunes, and he resigned as committee chairman.

Ranking Committee Democrat Adam Schiff was crowing like a rooster at the Nunes resignation. Now picture this. Nunes was all the Democrats had to attempt to discredit his findings about Rice’s nefarious actions. Gone now. Did you hear that cannon go off?

Blunder two, the filibuster against the confirmation of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer fired his entire stock of ammo just to force the Republicans to deploy the nukes to confirm the appointment. Gorsuch is not as conservative as Thomas or Alito.

Had pea-brained Schumer played ball and confirmed this appointment, they may very well have faced the next Trump appointee as a moderate conservative.

Moot point now!

When Republicans shove the next appointment down the Democrats’ throat, he will be a perfect running mate of Alito and Thomas. One more cannon volley and pair of crutches, for Schumer please.

“We need this to restore the norms and traditions of the Senate.” This statement was made by Mitch McConnell after he proposed a rule change on the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Gorsuch.

This is just another in a long list of atrocities that the Republican Party has pulled on the country. Changing the rules in the U.S. Congress and the N.C. legislature just show what autocratic, nationalistic, totalitarian, xenophobes the GOP really is. Gerrymandering and voter suppression are just more ways for the GOP to destroy the American way of life.

Let them keep their guns, that’s fine. By the time they are through polluting the earth there won’t be any place to hunt or even fish anyway. Stand up today for you freedoms. Let’s change the scene in 2018. #RESIST.
