Rowan weather: A little warming trend

It was another cold night, and we remain under a freeze warning until 10 a.m. The early morning temperature is 20 degrees.

We will eventually warm up today, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 58. Light southwest wind will become south southwest at 5-10 mph this afternoon.

Tonight we have a 20 percent chance of showers, and it will be mostly cloudy, but much warmer, with a low of just 44. South southwest wind will blow at 7-9 mph.

Saturday brings a 50 percent chance of showers. mainly before 1 p.m. It will be cloudy though mid-morning, then clear, with a high of 68. The wind will be back, from the west, at 8-13 mph, gusting up to 18 mph.

The low Saturday will be 36, with north northwest wind at 5-9 mph.

Sunday will be sunny and 59, with north northwest wind at 6-11 mph. The low will be 33.

Monday should be sunny again, with a high of 67. A partly cloudy night will have a low of 49.

A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible Tuesday, especially between 1 and 5 p.m. It will be partly sunny and quite warm, with a high of 74. The chance of rain is 40 percent Tuesday night, with a low of 41.

It will be cooler Wednesday, with a high of 60 under mostly sunny skies. The low will be 36.

And it will be a bit cooler Thursday, with a high of 57 and mostly sunny conditions.
