Rowan weather: Rain today, sun tomorrow

It’s unlikely we’ll see any sunshine today, but starting Tuesday, we should see much more sun, although temperatures will cool during the week.

Today we have a 50 percent chance of showers, and it will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 56. Winds will blow from the south southwest withs morning around 7 mph, then shift to the northwest. A tenth to a quarter inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent, with a low of 42. Northwest winds will be at 6-8 mph.

Tuesday, finally, will be sunny, with a high of 59. West northwest winds will be persistent at 6-11 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph. Tuesday night will be clear, with a low of 38.

Wednesday will be sunny and warmer, with a high of 66. Winds will become southwest at 6-11 mph in the morning. Then we’ll have a 20 percent chance of showers between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. The low will be 46.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and cooler again, with a high of 55. The low will dip below freezing, to 31 degrees.

Friday will be noticeably cooler, with a high of 47 under sunny skies. The low will be 28.

Saturday will be about the same, with a high of 47 and a low of 27.

Sunday will be sunny and 46, so we’re getting more wintery temperatures for a few days.
