Rowan weather: Turning sunny and warmer

Nice to have a clean car this morning, as temperatures are almost 20 degrees higher than yesterday’s.

Today will be partly sunny, gradually clearing, with a high of 60. Southwest wind at 5-8 mph will shift to the northwest this afternoon. Tonight will be clear and cold, with a low of 29 and north northwest wind at 5-7 mph.

Friday will be mostly sunny, but 10 degrees cooler, with a high of 50. North northeast wind at 5-7 mph will become east in the afternoon.  Overnight, we’ll develop a 40 percent chance of rain, mainly after 1 a.m. The low will be 37. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Christmas Eve Saturday, which is also Hanukkah, has a 50 percent chance of rain and will be cloudy, with a high of 52. Wind will be from the southwest at 6 mph in the afternoon. The rain chance drops to 20 percent Saturday night, mostly before 10. The low will be 39.

Christmas Day will be partly sunny and 57. The low will be just 43.

Monday will be mostly cloudy and warmer, with a high of 59. The low will drop only 9 degrees, to 50.

Another 30 percent chance of rain comes Tuesday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 64. The low will be 39, with partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 52.
