Ishmael Gardner
Ishmael Earthen Rodgers Gardner, 88, Kannapolis, died Nov. 14, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center, Concord.
Born Aug. 23, 1918, in Rowan County, Mrs. Gardner was a daughter of the late Luke Brady and Minnie Frances Osborne Rodgers.
She was a homemaker for most of her life and member of Christ Episcopal Church, Cleveland.
Her husband of 62 years, John Thomas Crawford Gardner, and her daughter, Nancy Page, preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons Tommy and Jerry Gardner, both of Kannapolis, and Reid and Cynthia Gardner, Conover; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A service was held Thursday (Nov. 16, 2006) at Lady’s Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Nathaniel Austin. Burial, Christ Episcopal Church cemetery, Cleveland.
