Rowan weather: A little less hot

The good news is that we are not under a heat advisory today. It will still be hot, but in the lower 90s, instead of the upper 90s.

Today will be mostly sunny and 92, with west northwest wind at 5-7 mph. There’s a 20 percent chance of showers after 3 p.m.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and 71, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms after midnight.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 91, with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Patchy fog is possible in the morning. Calm wind will become west southwest at 6 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night has a 40 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly before 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 71 again.

Sunday will be partly sunny and 90, with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon. Winds will be calm again until the afternoon, then at 6 mph from the southwest. Sunday night has a 50 percent chance of showers and storms with another low of 71.

Monday brings another 30 percent chance of showers and storms in the afternoon, with partly sunny skies and a high near 90. The same chance of rain sticks around Monday night, with a low of 70.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 90. The 30 percent chance of rain returns Tuesday night, with a low of 70.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 89, with a 30 percent chance of showers. The same chance lingers into Wednesday night, with a low of 70.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 88, so we’ll get a little relief from the excessive heat.
