SALISBURY — Critters, a downtown gift and cards store at 125 S. Main St., has the Breyer Animal Creations models of the horse Brunello for sale.

The Post featured a story about Brunello’s becoming a Breyer Horse collectible in Wednesday’s edition. Brunello has a strong connection to native Salisburians Jack and Lisa Towell and their daughter, Liza Towell Boyd.

Boyd rode Brunello to a record three consecutive USHJA International Hunter Derby Championships from 2013-2015, and he trained at the Towell family’s Finally Farm in Camden, S.C.

It’s a high honor for a horse to become a Breyer Horse, and Brunello was first introduced with that distinction June 10 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring.
