DOT public hearing scheduled for I-85 work near China Gove

The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an open-house public meeting next week for the proposed improvements to the U.S. 29/601 direct connection to I-85 and the U.S. 29/N.C. 152 interchange.

NCDOT has continued to work on the I-85 Improvements Project since the public meetings in 2013. Plans for the U.S. 29/601 direct connection to I-85 as well as the U.S. 29/N.C. 152 interchange have changed and updated information will be presented at this meeting.

The open-house public meeting will be held Thursday, July 14, at Jesse C. Carson High School, located 290 Kress Venture Drive, China Grove from 4 to 7 p.m. Interested citizens are encouraged to attend at any time during those hours; please note there will not be a formal presentation.

NCDOT and consultant staff will be available to provide information on the project, answer questions and receive comments.
