MOUNT ULLA — The Great Berry Ride bicycle ride scheduled for Saturday at Patterson Farm is being postponed due to threat of inclement weather including lightning, organizers said.

The new date is Sept. 24 for the ride, which raises money and awareness for the Rowan County United Way and Rowan Hospice & Palliative Care.

“The safety of the riders and course volunteers is the priority at this point as well as concern for any riders driving a long distance to find the ride postponed on Saturday,” organizers said.

All pre-registered entrants will receive a refund.
